The prominent Filmfare Awards ceremony took shape in the year 1954. The awards were introduced by the famous Filmfare magazine to acknowledge new talent in the Indian film industry. The 49th award ceremony was held on 20th February in Mumbai. The film ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (directed by Nikhil Advani) won several awards for the year.
