The 51st Filmfare Awards were held on 25th February at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Javed Jaffari, Lara Dutta, Pooja Batra, and Tabu were the hosts for the special night. The film ‘Black’ (directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali) swept nine filmfare awards in various categories. The story of the film is partially set up on the true life story of Helen Keller. It was also selected as one of the 10 Best Movies of the Year 2005 from across the globe by Time Magazine (Europe). Listed below are the proud winners of the year 2006.
