Zee Cine Awards were created with the objective to honor the best artists in Indian Cinema. It was in 1998, Indian Cinema saw the rise of Zee Cine Awards (or ZCA). Zee Cine Awards 2001 was held on 3 March (technical) and 17 March in Mumbai. The show was sponsored by Lux for the years 1998-2001. Therefore 4th Zee Cine Awards were also known as the Lux Zee Cine Awards 2001. ZCA is considered to be the first Truly Democratic Award Event in the history of Global Indian Cinema. Zee has widened its network all across the world and Indians from about 120 countries cast vote for their favorite stars. The winners for the year 2001 are listed below.
