The Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance has been handed out since 1959. The Award was titled Best Classical Performance - Chamber Music (including chamber orchestra) for two years after its introduction in 1959. It was changed later on from Best Classical Performance - Vocal or Instrumental - Chamber Music to Best Chamber Music Performance – Vocal and Best Chamber Music Performance – Instrumental in 1965. From 1968 till 1990 it remained as Best Chamber Music Performance; from 1992 to the present it has been awarded as Best Chamber Music Performance.
