The Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album has been handed out since 1977. From the year of its inception till 2001 the award was titled the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance. From 1981 to 1991 except for 1985 the category was presented as separate awards for female and male. American jazz singer Dianne Reeves won the award four times making her the most awarded artist in the category.
