The grand Filmfare Award took shape in the year 1954 to acknowledge the talented artists in the Indian film industry. Five scenes (of the most popular movies of the year) are nominated and telecasted on the Sony television channel two weeks prior to the event. The filmfare best scene of the year award is decided by Sony Executives. The award was introduced in 1998 and was first presented to the film ‘Judaai’.
