The Grammy Award for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package has been handed out since 1995. From the year of its introduction to 1997 the award was known as Best recording Package - Boxed. From 1998 to 2002 it was known as Best boxed Recording Package and in 2001 the Academy came up with the currently used title, Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package.
