The “dance” field was added to the Grammys in 1998 with the inclusion of the category Best Dance Recording. There are two categories in this field currently, they are:
- Best Dance Recording - The Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording was first handed out in 1998. It was a category under the “pop” field which was later shifted to the “dance” field. Justin Timberlake is the only artist to win this award twice.
- Best Electronic/Dance Album - The Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album was introduced in 2005. It was an addition to the only category (Best Dance Recording) in the ‘Dance’ field. The Chemical Brothers are the only artist to have won the award twice.
