The filmfare awards are considered as one of India's well respected film awards. The awards took shape in the year 1954 and were constituted by the famous filmfare magazine. The main objective was to recognize and honor artists for their outstanding contribution to the industry. The readers of the magazine select the winners for the prestigious awards. The 46th filmfare popular awards were held on 17th February at NSE grounds in Mumbai. The film ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ (directed by Rakesh Roshan) grabbed the highest awards in various categories.
