In the year 2000, IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) awards were introduced to promote Indian cinemas globally. The 4th IIFA 2003 award ceremony was held at Johannesburg in South Africa. The show was supported by cricketers, celebrities, government officials, Indian and South African film stars and their fans.
