The Grammy Awards focuses on artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry. The Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album has been handed out since 1992; it is the only category in the Traditional Pop Field. The award has had two name changes since its addition to the list of categories at the Grammys, it was known as Best Traditional Pop Performance in 1992. The main criterion for the award is to have more than 51% or more playing time of vocal tracks.
